Areas of Experience
- Basic Components of Accounting – Training and hands on experience in all areas of accounting including but not limited to cash control, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory controls. Ability to set up and maintain daily, monthly, and annual procedures and controls necessary to provide assurance of asset preservation as well as provide meaningful financial information to management.
- Financial Reporting – Analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts. Supervision and/or compilation of financial statements. Analysis of results provided by the financial statements and comparison of such information with budgeted or expected results. Ability to communicate and interpret financial results to management and owners.
- Computer Applications – Experienced in the use of various accounting, manufacturing, and business software. Proficient in a variety of programs including Lotus 123, Excel, Word Perfect, MS Word, Exact Macola, Platinum, MAS90, AccPac, FAS, Time Slips, and QuickBooks Pro.
- Staff Training/Fill in – can be utilized to fill in for staff members on leave or until a vacant position can be filled with a desirable candidate. Ability to train staff to work within systems and controls efficiently and effectively.
- Other Projects – Developed and implemented policy and procedures regarding personnel and benefits as well as accounting responsibilities. Produced business plans and five year budgets.
